Event Details

A whaler’s life from the era of Moby Dick brought to life through music, narration and film. Chasing the Whale brings together six distinctive and hugely talented artists; Kings of the Seas come from the three corners of folk, indie and jazz. They have invited the acclaimed traditional New England and Southern Appalachia singer Tim Eriksen to join them. Presenter and author Philip Hoare writes and directs captivating and eloquent tales for screen and book about man’s relationship with the sea and whales, winning the 2009 Samuel Johnson Prize for non-fiction. The powerful images associated with these voyages are captured by Bafta nominated documentary maker Adam Clitheroe.
