Event Details

Join three great northern writers as they discuss what it is to write with a ‘Northern Voice’ in this light hearted evening of poetry, prose, questions and answers.

Yorkshire born dramatist John Godber is internationally renowned for his observational comedies. He has also been calculated as the third most performed playwright in the UK behind only Shakespeare and Alan Ayckbourn. Helen Cross is a novelist as well as a dramatist with her plays and short stories frequently being performed on Radio 4. Peter Sansom is a poet whose books include On the Pennine Way and Everything You’ve Heard is True.

Don’t miss this thoroughly entertaining evening listening them read from their work and talk about their relationships with the North and how it has shaped their work and careers, then take the opportunity to ask them questions in the relaxed atmosphere for what is sure to be an entertaining Question and Answer session.
