Event Details

The community Parade led by Santa and his reindeer, leaving The Ropewalk at 3.00 pm, and making its way to the town centre.

The Lantern Parade with local children, leaves The Ropewalk at 5.00 pm, and making their way to the town centre.

The Entertainment Stage
(located in the town centre)

  • 1.00 pm: The Tribe
  • 2.00 pm: Rushby School of Dance
  • 3.00 pm: Duck Egg Theatre
  • 4.00 pm: The Riizlas
  • 5.30 pm: Salvation Army Carol Service
  • 6.00 pm: Christmas Lights switch-on
  • 6.15 pm: Castledyke School choir


Street entertainment, children’s rides, Viking FM Road-show, Craft and Charity stalls – can be found on George Street, King Street and High Street. Along with more stalls and attractions found inside at The Wilderspin National School and Joseph Wright Hall (ex-Citadel) on Queens Street.

Local businesses/organisations displaying trees decorated in a theme that depicts their business !!
Organised by The Barton Rotary Club. Free admission to view.
