Event Details

A double bill of two great blues musicians.
Ben Poole is being talked of as the new up-and-coming UK blues guitarist; one of the finest to have emerged in Europe for years. Having already played with and received critical acclaim from some of his heroes, legendary blues artists including Jeff Beck, Gary Moore and John Mayall, at just 27 years of age it appears there is no stopping this young and incredibly gifted musician.
“A fleet fingered and talented newcomer to the British blues scene. Poole’s playing may be ferocious but he rarely sacrifices precision for it. Definitely one to watch.” ~ Guitarist Magazine
Stevie Nimmo, singer-songwriter and Nimmo Brothers co-frontman with his brother Alan have for almost 20 years, been successfully touring the UK, Europe, and America with five successful CDs to their name.
Born and raised in Glasgow Stevie never had a guitar or singing lesson growing up, but throughout his family there were plenty of musical people to learn from. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2009, and subsequent surgery resulting in the loss of his voice for over two months, Stevie was forced to ease on touring and spend time recovering. In 2010 however, he bounced back with a new album and has launched into touring and performing like never before.
“Stevie’s voice is at times gritty, other times emotional but all times perfection!” ~ Maverick Magazine
